Overview

Kin Za Dumplings and Oysters at Kudamm offers a compelling dive into Georgian cuisine right in the heart of Berlin’s Dahlmannstraße. Celebrated for its authentic flavors and warm hospitality, this restaurant brings a genuine slice of Georgia to the city, specializing in dumplings (khinkali), oysters, and other traditional dishes with a modern twist.

The menu is a feast for those eager to explore the nuanced tastes of Georgian cooking. Signature dishes like kebabs, hähnchen schaschlik (chicken skewers), and teigtaschen mit käse (cheese-filled dumplings) stand out for their robust flavors and generous portions. Accompanying these are unique highlights such as walnut cake, marinated cucumbers, and auberginen badrijani, which offer a layered experience of savory, tangy, and subtly sweet notes. Shrimp salad and fresh oysters add a refreshing seafood element, rounding out a diverse culinary journey.

Visitors appreciate the attentive and friendly service—staff members like Oksana and George often receive praise for their approachable and courteous demeanor, enhancing the overall atmosphere. The restaurant interior balances a classic yet quirky aesthetic, featuring playful elements like creatively themed washrooms guarded by Terminator and Spiderman motifs, adding character and memorable charm to the dining experience.

Kin Za Dumplings and Oysters caters well to social diners and groups, given its generously sized servings ideal for sharing. Those new to Georgian cuisine might find certain items, such as the grilled kebabs, lean on the dry side but are counterbalanced by the perfectly grilled shashlik and flavorful condiments like pomegranate seeds, fresh herbs, and tangy tomato salsa. The walnut cake, praised for its balanced sweetness and tangy sauce, makes for a delightful dessert finale.

Beyond food, the venue cultivates a lively ambiance, especially visible during festive decor seasons like Halloween and through events such as basement karaoke parties, which underscore its community-focused vibe. This place suits anyone drawn to authentic ethnic dining, enthusiasts of Georgian delicacies, and those who appreciate a blend of traditional flavors with a casual, lively setting.

In essence, Kin Za Dumplings and Oysters at Kudamm is more than a meal; it is a heartfelt expression of Georgian culinary culture, marked by quality ingredients, attentive service, and an inviting atmosphere that makes every visit feel special.

The decor is classic Kin Za( their outlets) , quirky washrooms , terminator and spiderman gaurding them . The food we ordered : chicken sashlik Pork and beef Kebab. Both of them came with bread , a sour green sauce , pickle and cabbage salad with the kebab and tomato salsa with the sashlik. The garnishings of onion rings , pomegranate and chopped herbs were also exact. The food portions are huge, ideal for sharing but too much for a single . I didnot find variation in either of the dishes as they tasted like grilled meat with bread and sauces . The food was pretty dry. While the shashlik was grilled to perfection the kebab could have been juicier. For people who doesn't like to smell beef in their kebabs , stay away. Both of us were so full with them that we couldn't try more things from the menu. which we wanted to , specially the kinkhali. The prices are also set high according to the portions . Some tasting platter with 1/2 kinkhali and smaller portions of other dishes would be great for people who want to try the cuisine. The walnut cake was really nice. Less sweet , less creamy and the tangy sauce with it complemented so well. We also loved the complementary drink they served in the beginning.

I sat to eat some seafood and it is the best place, totally in love with it! Great quality, fair price, very good service and also it shows that the owner cares a lot. It's currently decorated for halloween and the attention that was put into the fun decorations really elevated the sense that this place is a labour of love. The basement also hosts karaoke parties that seem pretty fantastic. Thanks for a great experience <3

Ouster were very good, served with special sauce and bread. Very tasty mergulian khachapuri - hot, crunchy and lots of cheese. The lamb khinkali also were great. I’ve only missed Georgian sauces, such as Satsebeli or tkemaki. Overall very good kitchen!
